Carolyn Frances Pitt | 69 | Pleasant Hill

Carolyn Frances Pitt, 69, of Pleasant Hill, IL passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2022, in the afternoon at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville. Carolyn was born Sept. 29, 1953 in Wood River, a daughter of Francis Haverly and Eva Lucille Poore Pitt.

Carolyn was a graduate of Pleasant Hill High School and was employed as the dietary manager for the former Pleasant Hill Nursing Center. She enjoyed fishing, outdoor activities and spending time with her family.

Carolyn was a member of the Calvary Gospel Church in Summer Hill.

Survivors include her daughter, Michelle (Tim) Butler of Watford City, North Dakota, grandchildren, Bryce, Dallas and Lakin Butler and Brianna (Dylan) Hart, step granddaughters, Madison, Taylor and Kaylee Martin, great grandchildren, Brylan and Bristol and numerous nieces and nephews including Tom, Randy, Ron and Rick Merryman.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Bryan Hart, sisters, Estalene Merryman and Lenora Taylor, brothers, Daryl Greenwood and Forrest “Buddy” Buchanan and by a nephew, Tony Merryman.

Cremation is being accorded. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Lummis Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill is handling the arrangements.
