Jerseyville’s Loving Life Special Olympics Team traveled to the Edwardsville Special Olympics on Sunday, May 7, where all of the athletes did very well, according to their coaches.
Joshua Powell, Billy Lott, Jayce Stone, Cole Stone, and Sammy Newberry were among the participating athletes. All of them received at least one Gold Medal and they are all going to the State Special Olympics at Bloomington in June.
The team is coached by Rick Powell and
“We are very proud of these boys and their hard work,” said one of their coaches, Tammy Powell. “The Special Olympics Torch Run is on June 7th, please come out in support of our Jerseyville City and County police officers and the Special Olympics athletes of Jersey County out loving life!”
