West Central won its first two matches at the Meredosia Volleyball Tournament last week.Sou
The Cougars beat North Greene and Pleasant Hill before losing to South County. They played Triopia and Meredosia Saturday night. Triopia won the tournament with a 5-0 record.
They started the tournament with a 25-21, 17-25, 15-3 win Aug. 28 against North Greene.
Brylee Lawson had 17 points, four kills, three assists and two block to lead the Cougars (3-3). Braylee Littig had seven points, five kills and three assists. Kaitlyn Frost had seven points, two kills and two assists.
Reagan Brown had five points and 11 assists. Annabell Schafer had one point and two kills.
Maeleigh Alexander had two kills. Kenley Coats and Sofie Grubb each had one assist.
West Central beat Pleasant Hill 27-25, 25-16 the following night.
Brown had 12 points and 17 assists to lead the Cougars. Lawson had three points, 11 kills and one block. Coats had two points and 22 digs.
Littig had five points, six kills and two assists. Schafer had five points, four kills and one block.
Frost had three points and one dig. Alexander had two kills and one block. Grubb had two assists, and Kylie Clayton had two digs.
South County beat West Central 25-20, 25-18 on Aug. 30.
Littig had eight points, including four aces, five kills and one block for West Central. Brown had seven points, including one ace, five assists and one kill.
Frost had four points, including one ace, and one dig. Lawson had two points, five digs and one block.
Coats 7 digs, and Schafer had five digs. Grubb had one kill.
