The Calhoun Warriors beat the North Greene Spartans, 56-20, after taking a big lead in the first quarter of Friday night’s home match.
The Warriors started out strong with 28 points in the first quarter while holding North Greene to six.
Pat Friedel had a 24 yard pass from Miles Lorton, Chris Stanley had a 78 yard run and a 42 yard run and Lorton had a 14 yard run in the first quarter while North Greene’s Caleb William scored one touchdown for a score of 28-6.
Calhoun continued their scoring streak in the second quarter with Jake Snyders, Conner Longnecker, Tyler Snyder, and Drew Wallendorf running in touchdowns securing a 42-point lead at halftime, 56-14.
North Greene was able to score six more points in the second half for a final score of 56-20.
Friedel kicked for the Warriors Friday earning Calhoun eight extra points.
The Warriors are set to play Friday, Sept. 15, at Winchester.
