From the desk of Pastor David Slagle 217-473-1892.
Cool and damp, but a nice drive to church this morning. We were blessed with a great gathering of God’s family again this Sunday. Once again God continues to bless Walkerville Baptist Church as a young man came forward wanting to join our fellowship giving his testimony of salvation and baptism, and received unanimous vote of approval. God is still alive and working in his church. Our message this morning was from the fourth chapter of Philippians verses 12-13. “What is the secret to being content?” Paul speaks on this very subject in the above verses. Writing from prison Paul says that he can do anything, and go through anything God sets before him because he knows the Lord will provide the strength to complete the trial. We too can do whatever God sets before us if we trust the Lord to provide. Our recent prayer requests are Kayle and family, Robert F. and Robert C., Gayle and Jim Donze, a young lady going on an overseas mission trip, Harold, Jane, Eddie D., Sherri for tests, Heather, Pastor David for surgery.
We invite each of you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. for our morning worship service. God bless, see you in church.
