News from Barrow Baptist Church and our church family. Our service times are 9:30 a.m. Sunday school, followed by 10:30 a.m. morning worship. Everyone is invited to either or both services and we are handicap accessible.
On Sunday Feb. 18 we had 17 attending Sunday school and 22 attending morning worship.
Remember our men and women in uniform and the leaders of our nation in your prayers. Happy birthday wishes go out to Carter Sims Feb. 23 and to Blaze Farris Feb. 26.
Saturday afternoon Feb. 17, we held church services at White Hall Nursing and Rehab. The residents love to sing, so we sang a lot of songs. It was very joyful. We even sang Happy Birthday to one of them.
It doesn’t seem possible that February is almost gone and we will be starting March.
Feb. 26 there will be a benefit at the Eldred American Legion to benefit the Stella Schultz family. For those of you that don’t know, Stella is 4 years old and in the hospital in St. Louis waiting on a heart transplant. The benefit starts at 10:30 a.m. and goes to 7 p.m. They are serving Ham and Beans.
Our ladies luncheon for March will be March 12th at noon. We will be having a game night Friday, March 15 at 6 p.m.
Don’t forget Easter is March 31st this year.
That’s all for this week. Hopefully everyone stayed safe during the snow we received this past Friday. Warmer temperatures are coming. Be a friend to someone in need.
