A Chevrolet Trailblazer was totaled by fire Friday afternoon on the west side of the Pittsfield square. The vehicle was owned by Bruce Ivers. He had left the vehicle running, because his dog was inside. A passerby spotted the fire, while Jim Filbert, who lives nearby, was able to rescue the dog. Vehicles parked either side of Ivers were able to be moved before they were damaged. The Pittsfield Fire Department responded to the call.
