Jimmy G. Jones, age 79, of Carrollton, IL died late Monday, Sept. 9, 2024 at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born Sept. 29, 1944 in Eldred, IL, son of the late Arthur and Betty Walters Jones.
He married Connie Day on April 9, 1965 in Carrollton, IL and she preceded him in death Dec. 7, 2020.Surviving are his children, Kevin Jones of Carrollton, IL, David Jones (Pamela) Greenfield, IL, Jessica Jones of Jerseyville, IL and Tamara Jones of White Hall, IL; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.Jimmy retired after 35 years of service at Boeing Aviation in St. Louis, MO.  After retirement, Jimmy could be found on the square wood carving and enjoying time with his grandchildren.Jimmy will be laid to rest privately at Borlin Cemetery near Eldred, IL next to his mother and with his wife.  Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is in charge of his arrangements.
