GARY L. HAYNES
By BETH ZUMWALT
A Hannibal, Mo., man, Gary L. Haynes, 47, has been arrested in connection with a home repair fraud complaint.
The incident began Nov. 22, when Pike County Chief Deputy was working for the village of Hull and received a complaint of home repair fraud.
“The victim reported she paid a substantial amount of money to a subject for repairs on the victim’s house. The victim reported she paid the subject in July,” Orr said. “The victim reported that none of the work had been completed, and the contractor had not reimbursed her.”
Orr conducted a criminal investigation, which led to the issuance and execution of court-authorized search warrants for financial information.
After receiving the necessary information, Orr applied for and received an arrest warrant for aggravated home repair fraud.
Nov. 27, Haynes was arrested by the Hannibal Police Department on a Pike County, arrest warrant.
Haynes was arrested and released pending a court appearance.
All suspect(s) are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
