Patrick, T.D. Cantwell, 29, Pleasant Hill, has been returned to Calctsieu Parsh, La. on charges of indecent behavior in February. He was extradited Tuesday, March 18.
Cantwell, was arrested in Pike County, where he is a registered sex offender, Feb. 22 after Pike County officials received information from Louisiana about a case involving inappropriate contact between a juvenile and an adult.
During the investigation, detectives from Louisiana, along with Pike County Sheriff’s Office were able to determine Cantwell, was engaging in sexual conversations with a juvenile in Calcasieu Parish over Snapchat.
Chief Deputy Zack Orr said that after a thorough investigation, Cantwell was arrested Feb. 22, at his residence in the 35000 block of 150th Avenue, Pleasant Hill.
Cantwell, who was on pretrial release for a charge of failure to register as a sex offender, was arrested and charged with the following: failure to register as a sex offender, false information provided by a sex offender, obstructing justice and a Parish of Calcasieu, Louisiana, arrest warrant for indecent behavior with a juvenile.
Cantwell has been lodged in the Pike County Jail on a $500,000 out of Louisiana since his arrest.
Cantwell was additionally charged by Pike County for failing to register as a sex offender and obstructing justice.
