Then next Saturday evening, May 24, at the Pike County Senior Center in Pittsfield, The Big River Band will be having their show starting at 6:30. No admission charge. Andthere.

The Wedding Reception of Wyvetta Davis and Jamie Niffen was held at the Pike County Senior Center the evening of May 10, with 53 in attendance. Missouri towns represented were: Annada; Bowling Green; Curryville; Hannibal; Louisiana; Palmyra; and Philadelphia. And the towns represented in Illinois were: New Salem; Perry; Pittsfield; Quincy; Rushville; Springfield; Summer Hill; and Time. Those family and friends in attendance were: James and Amanda Niffen; Wanda Brown; Jacob Niffen and Katy Patton; Tony and Becky Niffen; Nathan Davis; Reese Davis and Tyler Grover; Susan Dunnaway; Hunter Carroll; Charles Brown; Virginia Halpin; Laura Goree; Tony and Roma Lovell; Shirley Stinson; Ginger Whitlock; Jacqueline and Kit Mefford; Pastor Bob and Regina Hutsell; Tricia Carnes; Nora Renoud; Wanda Blacketer; David and Karen Finson; Steve and Jennifer Cox; Sharon Straus; Georgia Bergman and George Ruble; Jennie Johnson; Rokettia Brokaw; Ona Day Johnston; Reta Smith; Anita Mefford; Susan Shaw; Mark and Becky Winner; Darold and Connie Garner; Sonya Knox; Terry Shepherd; Irlyn Lacy; Harold Loyd; Les Myers; Brandy and C.J. The reception had the usual things such as bride and groom first dance, dollar dance, and plenty of food, but a twist was added in that they provided music and karaoke which everyone enjoyed. Music was provided by Tony Niffen of Curryville. Cakes were made by Patty Ruble. And sandwiches and dip were catered by County Market. Custom made delicious pulled pork was cooked by Roger Milligan and Les Myers, both of Bowling Green, Missouri. A great evening was had by all.
