Tina Marie Leonard | 55 | Carrollton

Tina Marie Leonard, age 55 of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, Aug. 13, 2025, at her residence after a long, courageous fight with cancer. Tina’s strength, faith, and love never wavered.
She was born June 11, 1970 in Ravenna, OH, the daughter of Gerald and Barbara Schilling Myers. She married Bill Leonard on Oct. 3, 1992 in Huber Heights, OH and he survives.
She is also survived by her sons, Brandon (Jacqueline) Leonard of Barnhart, MO, Cody Leonard of Carrollton, Nathan (fiancé Bree Barnard) Leonard of Union, MO, Kyle Leonard of Carrollton; three grandchildren, Lane, Charlie and Lilah Leonard; two sisters, Trisha (Chris) Dzendzel of West Milton, OH; and her twin sister, Tammy (Pete) Cafarelli of Augusta, GA; and her many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a beloved wife, mother of four boys, loving nana to three grandchildren, dedicated educator and passionate fitness enthusiast. Tina was delighted by bringing out the best in others – whether through encouraging a student, helping others attain their fitness goals or supporting her four boys as they pursued sports or other activities. She was a stay at home mother for many years then pursued her calling to be a teacher where she became a special education teacher before finding her most recent home at Winchester Grade School as a respected third grade teacher. For many years, she shaped young minds with patience, warmth and creativity. Her classroom was a sanctuary of curiosity, laughter and learning and her students adored her – not only for subjects she taught but for the way she made them feel seen and capable.
Beyond the classroom, she was a passionate fitness professional. She participated in countless Triathlons, 5k’s, half marathons, tough mudders and marathons while inspiring others to participate with her. Tina taught, inspired and motivated many to shoot for their fitness goals while pushing themselves further than they thought possible. She was always there to help and support others with a big smile.
Legacy of Love and Impact. Her legacy lives on in countless third-graders she encouraged to love learning, in the fitness clients she helped guide and in her four children-now young men- who carry forward her values of resilience, compassion and kindness.
