Elizabeth “Liz/Betty” Lillian (Wagner) Lee, 94, of Jerseyville, formerly of Morris, IL, died at 11:58 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville, IL.Born July 21, 1931 in Morris, IL, she was the daughter of William H. and Lillian E. (Martin) Wagner.Mrs. Lee was a self-employed housekeeper. On June 21, 1952 she married Ariel Lee in Morris, IL. He preceded her in death on April 7, 1998.Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, John and Donna Lee of Jerseyville; two grandsons, Col. Shawn (Lindsey) Lee of Colorado Springs, CO and Brandon (Sara) Lee of Highland, IL; and four great grandchildren, Kendall and Teagan of Colorado; and Jayden and Matthew of Illinois.Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by three children in infancy, Barbara, Bonnie and Robert; as well as her beloved brother, William Wagner; brother, Frank Wagner; sister, Katherine Nelson; and granddaughter, Tina Carr.There are no services scheduled at this time.
