Marilyn Kay Hinderhan | 73 | Carrollton

Marilyn Kay Hinderhan, age 73 of Carrollton passed away Wednesday, August 20, 2025 at Jerseyville Manor. She was born September 20, 1951 in Wood River, the daughter of Edward “John” and Margaret (Sheff) Hinderhan.
She is survived by a son, Danny (Terri) Hinderhan of Kane, two grandchildren, Michael Levi Hinderhan of Greenfield, and  Michaela Jane Hinderhan of Kane. She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Marjorie (Frank) Dunham, Ruthie (Jim) Fenton, and Susan (Aran) Weid; two brothers, Edward Hinderhan and Dale (Denice) Hinderhan
Marilyn considered herself very blessed. She was not given just one family but two. At the age of 3 her sister and her brother-in-law, Marjorie and Frank Dunham welcomed her into their family, where she was blessed with eight additional brothers and sisters; Dennis (Loretta) Dunham, Ricky Dunham, Mary (Donald) Gilbert, Jane (Robert) Gilbert, Russell (Lynn) Dunham, and Jeffrey (Carrie) Dunham. This large group blessed her with many nieces and nephews who brought her great joy.
Marilyn retired from Perma Bound in Jacksonville after 25 years.
Funeral services were held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 25, 2025 at Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton where burial followed in Eldred Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of services Monday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the family.  Condolences may be left online at www.airsman-hires.com
