John ‘Pete’ Fuller | 88 | Kampsville

John “Pete” Fuller, age 88, of Kampsville, IL, died Sunday, Oct. 12, 2025, at Lebanon Healthcare in Lebanon, IL.
He was born July 16, 1937 in Hardin, IL, son of the late Millard Filmore and Alice Ella Kamp Fuller and was raised by his stepfather the late Joe Kamp.
He married Janet Lee Angel on May 7, 1961 in Kampsville, IL and she preceded him in death on May 25, 2025.
Surviving is his daughter, Angela Sappington (Steve) of Griggsville, IL; two grandchildren, Austin Anderson of Detroit, IL and Alisha Anderson of Milton, IL.
He was also preceded in death by his son, Daniel Wayne Fuller.
Pete worked road construction with Laborers International Union for many years.  He was a veteran serving during Vietnam.  He was a lifelong member of NRA and loved hunting and trapping. He was also a member of Pike Co. Saddle Club, and American Quarter Horse Association.  He loved collecting guns and had a lifelong love of raising, riding and showing horses. He also loved reading Louis L’Amour books.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025 at Airsman-Hires Chapel in Griggsville, IL.  Burial was in Summit Grove Cemetery near Kampsville, IL. Visitation was held one hour prior to services Thursday at the chapel.  Memorials may be made to Pike Co.
