North Greene hosted a Unified Basketball scrimmage game Friday night before the game against Gillespie. High School Unified Basketball is an inclusive program, often part of the Special Olympics program that brings together students with and without intellectual disabilities on the same basketball team to play, train and compete together, foster friendships, understanding and a sense of belonging by building social inclusion through sport. Each team consists of a balanced mix of athletes with and without disabilities who are of similar age and ability, creating a truly integrated experience where everyone contributes and supports each other.
