Carl S. ‘Sammy’ Scoggins | 69 | Albertsville, AL
Carl S. “Sammy” Scoggins was born in a snowstorm on Dec. 1, 1956 in Greene County, Illinois and died in a snowstorm on Jan. 23, 2026 in Marshall County Alabama.
Sam is survived by his wife, Mary Atkins Scoggins, two of his own children and three grandchildren, four of Mary’s children, seven grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
Sam spent 30 years as a Telephone Tech with numerous phone companies throughout the United states ending with GTE in San Angelo Texas. After retirement Sam and his wife Mary spent his years collecting rare and classic cars and motorcycles, producing several car shows in Texas and Alabama until he took ill.
Sam will be buried at Borlin Cemetery in Greene County, Illinois with his parents, Howard and Della Scoggins. When weather is warmer in the spring.
