Michael Lee ‘Mike’ Rowley | 79 | Nebo

Michael Lee “Mike” Rowley, 79, of rural Nebo, IL, passed away Saturday evening Feb. 14, 2026, at the Eastside Health and Rehabilitation Center in Pittsfield.Mike was born Nov. 16, 1946 in Pittsfield, a son of Lee A. and Eva Marie Hoos Rowley.
Mike had been a long time employee of Edward Webb’s Sawmill and had his own woodcutting business. More recently, Mike assisted Dallas Barton with his farming operation.
Mike was an avid coon hunter, enjoyed berry picking and visiting with his friends at the Nebo café.
Survivors include four children, Darrin Rowley, Deanne Rowley, Michael Rowley and James Rowley; several grandchildren; two brothers, Roy (Kay) Rowley of Nebo and Earl (Penny) Rowley of Pearl; a sister, Eva Mae Rowley of Nebo; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Douglas Rowley; a daughter, Alice Lyne; a grandson, Derek Lyne; and a brother, Wayne Rowley.
Cremation will be accorded. A graveside memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 27, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Crescent Heights Cemetery in Pleasant Hill. There is no visitation, however, friends are invited to the graveside service.
Memorials may be made to the family to assist with funeral expenses.
