Jean Ann Sinclair | 63 | Jerseyville

Jean Ann Sinclair, 63, of Jerseyville, passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with her family and friends by her side.
She was born on Oct. 25, 1961, in Jerseyville, Illinois, to the late Edward and Beatrice “Jane” (Woodson) Whittleman. Jean graduated from JCHS in 1979 and married Russ Sinclair on June 3, 1983.
Jean worked as a School Bus Aide for the Jerseyville School District for 25 years, where she was known for her kind heart and dedication to the children she served. She was also a licensed cosmetologist prior to working for the school district, and spent several years cutting hair for her friends and family.
Some of her favorite pastimes were creating arts and crafts to give to friends and family, growing vegetables in her garden, and nurturing wildlife on the farm. But her most favorite of all, was being “Mimi” to her grandsons Miles and Isaac.
She is survived by her husband Russ of Jerseyville, IL; son, Todd (Katelyn) Sinclair of Jerseyville, IL; two grandsons, Miles and Isaac; her brother, Lloyd (Brandy) Whittleman of Jerseyville, IL; her mother-in-law, Marguerite Sinclair; her aunts, Fern Sears and Macy Allen; her sister-in-law, Krista Whittleman of Granite City, IL; brother-in-law Brad (Aleta) Sinclair; sister-in-law Jan (Rick) Rozenboom; nieces Amanda, Megan, Miranda, Charlie Whittleman, Taylor, Avery, Jillian Sinclair, Morgan Rozenboom; nephews Daren Whittleman and Drake Rozenboom; as well as several great-nephews and a great-niece.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward (Dutch) Whittleman.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 27th, 2025 at DJ’s Pub and Grill in Jerseyville, IL between 1 to 3 p.m.
Cremation rites will be accorded, and arrangements have been entrusted to Elias, Kallal & Schaaf Funeral Home in Godfrey, Illinois.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or the Riverbend Humane Society & Animal Shelter in Jerseyville, IL.
