Jersey County CEO Trade Show this Sunday, April 26, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. at Farm and Home Supply in Jerseyville.
Students’ businesses include: hand designed press on nails, tech golf accessory, fishing lures, baked goods, pocket sized books, jelly, custom painted plates, beaded charm carbineers, body care products, power washing scheduling, animal treats, and more.
“These students have been challenged to think of, plan, create, and execute a full business within 4 months time. This would be challenging for any experienced entrepreneur let alone high school juniors and seniors. However, each year these young entrepreneurs step up to the plate and have such ingenuitive, creative, delicious and unique ideas! They have yet again knocked it out of the park. They have been working so hard, so please come out to the Trade Show to show these young adults the support of their community,” Program Facilitator Liz Duggan said.
CEO student Clark Blasa recently placed in the top 10 of the National Pitch Competition. Students entered a local video pitch competition where they recorded a 30 second pitch for their product/service. Judges selected the top two who then moved on to the Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship’s National Pitch Competition. Midland Institute for Entrepreneurship manages all CEO programs across the country.
