The Village is looking amazing thanks to some awesome volunteers Who are working hard to keep the mowing done. A huge thank you to Linda Orr, Mark Becker, Shawn Shewemake and Rob Parameter. Also thank you Dennis John for weed eating along Route 100.
Thank you to everyone who supported the Kampsville American Legion Auxiliary Poppy Sales to benefit our Veterans this past weekend. The Hardin American Legion Post 636 Auxiliary will be distributing their Poppies on Saturday in Hardin. Thank you everyone for showing your support.
Legion members and their family and supporters are invited to attend the Memorial Day Service at our Town Park at 11 a.m., where lunch will be served at 12 p.m. Meat will be provided. Those attending are asked to bring a covered dish. A flag burning ceremony will be after lunch.
It is wonderful to see so many students in town at the Center for American Archeology Field School for the summer. Congratulations to all of the graduates this past weekend. Calhoun Elementary Legion Award winners were Hannah Klaas and Carly Pohlman.
Austin Malley, son of Mike and Janine Malley and grandson of Bob and Margie Smith received his MBA Sunday from Saint Louis University.
Walker and Wyatt Sibley competed over the weekend with the Golden Eagle Trap Team. They both did very well, bringing home multiple medals.
Happy 85th birthday to one of our favorite Legion guys, James Ewen, on May 23.
Mark your calendar the Calhoun Entertainment Company will be having their Country Jamboree on July 10 at 2 p.m. at St. Anselm’s Hall. More information will be posted at a later date.
