Now it’s November! Remember the time change this weekend as you will turn back the clocks and hopefully be changing them batteries in the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors too.
It has been reported to me that Bill Moyers has been quite ill with recent surgery, has been at Barnes Hospital for couple of weeks now, and in ICU. You are welcome to send him a card there at One Barnes Jewish Plaza, St.Louis, MO 63110.
Sue Holcomb, his sister, has also been having a rough time with infection in her hip. She has been on long term antibiotics and hoping she can avoid another surgery. May they both be on the mend real soon.
As a note of those ill, struggling or just because, be sure to check on your neighbors, friends and such. It sure won’t hurt and they will be so glad you did. May we all take the time to step outside our little comfort zone this November and be a blessing to someone in need!
Pleasant Hill Ladies Auxiliary is hosting their annual Fall Bazaar this Saturday at the firehouse from 9a.m.-3 p.m. There will be many vendors to get you started on your Christmas shopping, also a raffle for prizes and also the firemen will be serving pulled pork, chips and drink for $7.
Don’t forget to go get your vote in next Tuesday, remember it does count and it certainly does not if you don’t show up at the polls! Also the folks at the Senior Center next door will be having a bake sale that day so be sure to stop in and get you some homemade goodies.
Happy Birthday to Larry Hill this Friday, may this father-in-law of mine have many more!
“You are never too old to play in the leaves.”
