Coy Bainter, president of the Pike County Chamber Board, presented Damon’s Plumbing with a plaque recognizing them as 2022 Chamber Business of the Year for outstanding customer service and business growth. Accepting the award were Braden and Doug Damon. The presentation took place on June 8 at the Damon’s Plumbing office at 625 N. Madison in Pittsfield.
The Pike County Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce Damon’s Plumbing in Pittsfield as its 2022 Business of the Year.
There were four businesses nominated for Pike County Chamber of Commerce Business of the Year for last year, 2022. Nominations were made by members of the community. The qualifying business of the year nominees were Damon’s Plumbing, Farmers State Bank, Geared Up, and Pike County Glass.
To be considered for the Business of the Year Award, nominated businesses must be current Chamber members, and they must have been in operation for all of 2022.
In addition, each of the nominees must have demonstrated one or more of the following characteristics:
1) Exceptional performance and growth.
2) Outstanding employment practices.
3) Innovative products or services.
4) Exemplary customer service.
5) Response to adversity.
6) Community involvement.
7) Attracts tourists and visitors to Pike County.
Each of the four businesses were asked to provide a video sharing information about their business to the Chamber membership and the public. Links to the videos were sent by email by the Chamber to its members who were asked to vote for one of the businesses. Public voting took place in a public poll on Facebook. Votes were accepted through 3 p.m. on May 30.
After counting both the Chamber and the public votes, Damon’s Plumbing is the recipient of the 2022 Business of the Year.
Damon’s Plumbing is a family owned and operated business based in Pittsfield that provides jobs for 11 people and necessary services for the Pike County area. They provide residential and commercial plumbing services to the Pike County area, including new construction, repairs, and remodeling. They also do septic service installation.
Damon’s Plumbing was nominated for their exceptional customer service and business growth. The Chamber made the presentation and announcement on June 8 at the Damon’s Plumbing office at 625 N. Madison in Pittsfield. Coy Bainter, president of the Chamber Board presented the award, and accepting for Damon’s Plumbing were Braden and Doug Daman.
The Chamber also thanks and recognizes all of the nominees for Business of the Year for making Pike County their home, and thanks the community for the nominations and votes.
