Shouting out a happy 70th birthday to the Center for American Archeology. The Center for American Archeology is a huge part of Kampsville both in our history and our present. We are excited by the work they continue to do. It’s great to see our school being used for field school and we always look forward to the students calling Kampsville their home for the summer. As well as the opportunities they provide for our local students throughout the entire year.
Archeology Days in town Saturday were a huge success. My grandson Ren and I attended and we very much enjoyed all the hands on activities.
It is definitely our highlight of the Summer when the Sibley boys, Walker and Wyatt, have their amazing sweet corn for sale. Lots of county residents had some delicious sweet corn with their supper last week. If you missed it this go around you will definitely want to catch them again in a few weeks.

Kayla Yocum was the guest of honor at a bridal shower Saturday at the Rastello room in Hardin. Kayla is marrying Alan Baremore.
Word has it that Patsy (Mager) Tolbert won best in show for her chocolate angel food cake at the Jersey County Fair. Congratulations, Patsy.
Happy 18th birthday Kortney Herkert on July 11, and also a happy 16th birthday to one of our best helpers here in Kampsville Wyatt Sibley. Happy 11th birthday to Callie Hall on July 14.
