The Winchester community rallied at the EMS Building on Saturday, July 20, to raise funds to aid Megan Long-Little with medical bills stemming from a cancer diagnosis she received in April. The benefit, referred to as “Move Mountains with Meg” began with a golf tournament, followed by a silent and live auction and dinner. The night ended with music and dancing. Over 150 items were donated, in addition to monetary and t-shirt sales. Winners of the golf outing, raffles and 50-50 drawings all donated their prizes to the fundraising cause. Auctioneer Daryl Moore donated his time for the live auction portion, while other volunteers took care of signing participants in and assisting with the live auction and other preparations for the event.
