The former bell of the Kampsville Presbyterian Church has returned home.
When the church was sold, the bell was sold separately. Kampsville residents Steve and Cindy Manos purchased the bell at auction recently and had it restored so that it could come home where it belonged.
Kampsville celebrated the bells return Saturday, Nov. 2, with a special re-installation service.
Steve and his wife Cindy bought their home in Kampsville five years ago and said they have never felt so welcome, and it gives them a sense of joy to bring a little Calhoun history back to where it belongs.
