Frances M. Coonrod | 86 | Carrollton

Frances M. Coonrod, age 86 of Carrollton peacefully died and went to see the Lord Sunday, Sept. 28, 2025 at Calhoun Care Center. She was born July 18, 1939 in Carrollton, the daughter of James and Helen Ray Hillis of Berdan. She married William “Bill” Coonrod Jan. 18, 1958 in Carrollton and he preceded her in death Nov. 16, 2020.
She is survived by a daughter, Sherrill (Lee) Martin of Carrollton, two sons, David (Michelle) Coonrod of Moro and Tim (Karen) Coonrod of Carrollton, seven grandchildren, Brandon (Sandy) Martin, Rachel (Brandon) Seagraves, Sam (Kara) Coonrod, Nathan Coonrod, Joe (Nicole) Coonrod, Patsy (Cam Bullock) Coonrod, Gus Coonrod, eight great grandchildren, Hunter Martin, Traigor Seagraves, Anchor Seagraves, Warren Seagraves, Memphis Coonrod, Colt Coonrod, Rudy Bullock, and Carter Coonrod; eight siblings, Mary Sue Holmes, Royala Ann Ornellas, Janet Ornellas, Delbert Hillis, Kathy Crull, Gary Hillis, Terry Hillis, and Barbara Hillis. She was preceded in death by a son, Dennis Coonrod, parents, and a brother Billie Hillis.
Frances loved everyone, her family, loved God and church. She was a member of of Life Point Church in Carrollton most of her adult life. She worked for Illinois Valley economic Development Cooperation for 27 years where she retired. She will be missed.
Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 3, 2025 at Life Point Church in Carrollton. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until the time-of-service Friday at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Hickory Grove Cemetery in Wrights. Memorials may be suggested to Life Point Church. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is assisting the family.
