Friends of the Jerseyville Public Library hosting All American Trivia Night
The Friends of the Jerseyville Public Library report they have set fundraising goals for 2026. They plan to assist with digitizing the Jersey Community High School yearbooks, ongoing improvements of the older buildings and repair of the 1902 grandfather clock.
To kick start their goals they are encouraging attending “All American Trivia Night” on Saturday, Mar. 14, 6 p.m., at the KC Hall in Jerseyville. The Friends promise this trivia night will be easier and just good ole fun! Doors open at 5 p.m. to all set up of snacks and to socialize. On top of trivia there will be basket raffles, 50/50 and heads/tails. Register by calling 618-535-1537, leave a message if no answer. Pay $200 per table, 10-person limit, at the Library or pay the night of the event.
For digitization of the yearbooks, the Friends are encouraging and welcoming donations from JCHS alumni. They suggest classes donate funds to cover processing their senior year. For information, contact library director Judy Pruitt, 618-498-9514.
On going, the Friends have a booksale room open during Library hours. They feature a monthly “buy” the bag sale the first Tuesday of each month. For $1.00 a person can fill the supplied bags.
The Friends of the Library and Director Pruitt acknowledge what a community can do when they work together. Just look at the new addition and improvements for the 1987 and 1902 buildings to see what is possible. They wish to express their thanks in advance for helping make 2026 another banner year for the Library.
