Margie Lee Tepen | 91 | Golden Eagle

Margie Lee (Wieneke) Tepen, 91, of Golden Eagle, passed away on April 17, 2026. She was born on Sept. 20, 1934, the daughter of Robert and Gertrude Wieneke.
Margie was united in marriage to Virgil Tepen on Nov. 21, 1959. They shared 66 years of marriage before Virgil’s passing on Oct. 4, 2025. She spent those years working at home and raising her family with love and dedication.
She was a devoted mother and is lovingly remembered by her children: Eric Tepen, Kevin (Lori) Tepen, and Lynnette Macauley.
She was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother who treasured her family. She is lovingly remembered by her eight grandchildren: Brett Tepen, Janie (Robby) Miles, Lily (Luke) Shively, Kelsey (Drew) Tepen, Margaret (Mitch) Goetten, Francine (Jacob) Brady, Samantha Macauley, and Shane Macauley. She was also blessed with seven great-grandchildren, with one more on the way.
She is also survived by her brother, Leroy.
Margie was a faithful member of St. Mary Church and found comfort and community in her faith throughout her life.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation was held Monday, April 20, 2026, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gress, Kallal, and Schaaf Funeral Home in Brussels, IL.
Funeral Mass was Tuesday, April 21, 2026, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
