Lions honored/attend State Convention

Judy Fenton received the International President’s Medal at the 105th Lions of Illinois State Convention, the second highest award a Lion can receive.

Eric Fenton received the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation at the 105th Lions of Illinois State Convention.

Over 200 Lions from across the state attended the 105th Lions of Illinois State Convention in Bloomington, IL May 14-17, 2026, celebrating the past year’s successes and voting in the next year’s Council of Governors that will guide the state through next year’s business.
Three members of the Greenfield Lions Club attended this year’s event, Past District Governors John Thien and Judy Fenton and Past Council Chairman Eric Fenton. During the convention, Past Council Chairman Eric received the International President’s Certificate of Appreciation for his two years serving as the State Constitution and By-Laws Chairman from the Council of Governors. This is the sixth such certificate he has received in his forty years as a Lion.
Past District Governor Judy Fenton received the International President’s Medal, the second highest award a Lion can receive from this year’s Governor Rob Wirth from Gillespie, IL. Lion Judy has been a Lion for almost thirty years, serving in all club level leadership positions as well as many on the District and State levels. This is her first Presidential Medal to go along with seven President’s Certificates of Appreciation.
