Well, Winter, can you believe it officially (by the calendar) starts this Sunday?! I think maybe we’ve seen a good start of it already, and who knows what may come. I’d say keep your long handles and boots handy!
Spring Creek Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary will be hosting their second annual Family Christmas Night. This years theme is The Grinch. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the movie starting at 6:30 p.m. There will be several crafts and games for the kids as well as some activities for adults. Food and drinks will be provided. As crafts and games are added posts will be made to show what’s going to be available. Hope you can get your kiddos out to enjoy a night out in Nebo!
The food pantry will be open this coming Saturday from 9a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the Pleasant Hill Christian Church basement. Please come and get as you need and if you are able to give, you can also bring non perishable items at this time or give monetary donation at Bank of Kampsville. Need knows no Season!
Pleasant Hill Community Club still has this evening open 5 p.m.-7 p.m. for their free toy drive and I’m sure if you need another time to shop they will be more than happy to accommodate. Please contact Joe Collard (573)629-7257 or Beth Burdick (217)491-4177.
Pleasant Hill school Christmas Break starts after this Friday and they will be out until Jan. 6, returning Tuesday! Sure all of the kids and teachers are ready for a little holiday!
