On-line registration for G-P Schools is available
On-line registration for Pre-K through grade 12 for the 2024-2025 school year is now open at Griggsville-Perry Schools! If you need a computer to register your student, the North Pike District Library in Griggsville can help. Aug. 14 is right around the corner. Make sure your student is ready to go!
A Bible School Block Party will be held July 28-31 at the Pittsfield Church of the Nazarene (227 W. Washington St., Pittsfield) from 6:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. Kids can be picked up at the Lighthouse Church in Griggsville at 6 p.m. Every child that attends during the week and comes July 31 will receive a backpack with school supplies. Farmers National Bank is having a “Back to School Supplies Drive.” Donations of school supplies are being collected through Aug.9. Donations can be dropped off at any of the three banking locations: Griggsville, Pittsfield or Mt. Sterling. You can help a child succeed this school year!
If you’re looking for a good laugh, Brown County Comedy Night is happening Oct. 19 at 7 p.m! Ticket sales will begin Aug. 1. You can follow the Mt. Sterling Community Center YMCA Facebook page for more information regarding this event.
Save-The-Date! Pike County IL Fall Pickin’s Days will be Oct. 19 and 20. You can follow their Facebook page at “Pike County IL Fall Pickin Days” to stay in the loop.
Information is out about the Griggsville Apple Festival’s Car & Tractor Show! This event is set for Sept. 21 in Griggsville on the east side of the boulevard. Cars, trucks, jeeps, tractors, motorcycles and “special interest” vehicles are welcome. Vehicle entry fee is $20. Kids’ entry fee is free. There will be dash plaques for fifty participants. Registration 9-11 a.m.; Awards 12 p.m.; Antique Tractor Parade 1:30 p.m.; Magnificent Mile Parade 2 p.m.
