The Health and Safety Fair presented by the Brussels and Batchtown Woman’s Club was held on Saturday at the Brussels Heritage Park. Weather was beautiful and many attended to visit the various vendor booths, purchase raffle tickets and have refreshments, while the children enjoyed the obstacle course. Many thanks to members of both clubs plus David Pohlman of the Search and Rescue Team and his helpers for all they did. The vendors from the JCH Hospital and Wellness Center did blood sugar tests and chair exercises, others provided lots of information to the attendees. Thanks again to everyone!

My prayer on the 20th Anniversary of 9/11 and Patriot Day:
Dear Lord, As we reflect on the solemn anniversary of 9/11 we remember many loved ones lost and first responders who put their lives at risk. This day marks a time of so much sadness and grief for so many. We think of those who daily serve others in our communities and nation. Whether on the battlefield or in our towns and cities, they have specifically chosen to put the lives of others ahead of their own needs, by following the example of our Savior, who gave Himself as a sacrifice for all believers. Bless our nation and bring us together to care for and support one another. In Jesus name, Amen

PRAYER FOR FALL
God of all seasons, we thank You for Autumn, for the touch of coolness in the air that gives us a new burst of energy. God, as you transform the earth, transform us by Your Spirit. Thank You for the coloring of trees showing Your creative artistry, for the fall harvest that brings us gratitude for the bounty of our land and for this change of seasons, as you transform the earth and us. Amen
