Estella Zilic was honored at a surprise birthday party held Sunday at Courtyard Café in Pittsfield. Estella was surprised by 45 cousins and friends who helped her celebrate. Her birthday was Sept. 24. Happy birthday, Estella!
Sheila Vose of Perry and Connie Boone of Payson participated in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s in Quincy Saturday. Their team “In Memory of Marcel” was sixth top team, collecting over $2,300! Sheila was recognized for being fourth top fundraiser as an individual, and also received a beautiful mum for raising at least $500. The ladies are thankful for all the support from their communities and friends in this endeavor since Marcel passed away five years ago.
A birthday party was held at the Golden Community Center Sunday for Viola Miller of Golden and her daughter Diana Meyers of Machesney Park, (you may remember them living in Perry several years ago). Locals attending the party were Dewayne and Nadine Kessinger of Griggsville, Jr. and Sue Miller of Chambersburg, and Dryden, Destiny and Caroline Craven of Pittsfield. We extend our deepest sympathy to the family of Joe Sidwell who passed away Sept. 20 in Pittsfield. Happy birthday wishes go out to our granddaughter Lexi Kessinger Oct. 2. Forgiving yourself is as important as forgiving others. Love yourself. Forgive yourself.- Robert Tew
