Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16
Did you know that there are two churches (that I know of) in Pittsfield that have pantries to help individuals? The Crossing and Calvary Baptist both do their pantries the third Saturday of each month from 9 a.m. – 11 a.m. The Crossing does a drive through food pantry right beside The Crossing Thrift Store across the street from Walmart. And Calvary Baptist (church right across from McDonald’s) does a Helping Hands cleaning supplies and hygiene products pantry.

Phones hold big parts of our lives each and every day. There are manners concerning the use of phones. For example, did you know there are certain times, unless it’s an emergency, that phones should and should not be used? I did a little research and found that common courtesy states that you should never call a person before 8 a.m. unless it’s an emergency. And at night, no one should be expected to answer their phone after 9 p.m.

Holly and Justin Smith with children Sadie, Abe, Hope, and Boaz of Texas spent nearly a week over Christmas with grandmother Shirley Stinson.
Christmas Day guests of Shirley Stinson were daughter and son-in-law, Holly and Justin Smith, and children; and Shirley’s brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Shirley Bauch of Perry. Shirley’s son Corey was ill so he and his wife Karen were not able to join in. On Christmas Eve, the family enjoyed a wiener roast, which Shirley said was a first for this time of year, but still great fun.
