Well, we have come upon another new year. And we definitely had to find that warm coat and gloves this week. And put a little more wood in the stove. Welcome to Winter Wonderland!
If you made a New Year’s resolution, may it be fulfilled. But often it is busted pretty quickly after it is made and most of us can attest to this. Good luck on your intention! I would like to make the best of what I can give~to stop wishing for things we complain we have not, and start making the best of all that we’ve got. Today be happy with what we have, not discontent with what we don’t have.
Pleasant Hill Western basketball girls are selling raffle tickets for two beautiful afghans donated by Terri Allen. They are selling tickets one for $5 or five for $20. These will be raffled off at the home game on Jan. 17. You may purchase tickets on the PH CUSD facebook page or may contact the school.
January is the beginning of a new year and the perfect time to start the year celebrating National Blood Donor Month. Due to increased seasonal illnesses during the winter months and inclement weather conditions, donations of blood and platelets decline, and demand increases. Maybe this is a great start to giving back, help save a life.
