Everybody should celebrate homecoming this week
Have you noticed the hint of tint on trees up the bluff and through the hollars, the corn husk tornadoes dancin’ in the fields, and oh the sound of the evenin’ crickets, the joyful sights and sounds of True and Beautiful Fall. It has already started but our calendar tells us it’s official tomorrow!
The town kids will be quite busy this week with Homecoming events taking place, fun dress up days at school, bonfire Thursday night, the parade starting at 1 p.m. on Friday, then Friday night lights against the North Greene Spartans kicks off at 6:30 p.m. with the homecoming court then game! The dance will be Saturday evening starting with events at 6:30 p.m. Come and support your hometown Pleasant Hill Western Wolves Friday night!
There was an amazing turnout at the Pleasant Hill Fairgrounds this weekend. Record crowds as years ago. Kudos to our Fair board for working tirelessly to bring it back again! Great job!
Saturday is National Hunting and Fishing Day, proclaimed in 1972. Hope it’s a great day to get you and your favorite youth out on the water or in the woods. Enjoy the outdoors!
“Take a note from Autumn’s book and forget aging gracefully. Aging should be colorful with chances to dance in the wind.”
