We are gearing up to celebrate The Center for American Archeology 70th Anniversary this Saturday in Kampsville. It will be a fun educational day for the whole family.
St. Anslem’s Hall was packed Sunday afternoon as the Calhoun Entertainment Company presented their Jamboree. The laughter was plentiful and the music was great. Also some amazing musicians. They also had delicious homemade pies. We are always glad when the Calhoun Entertainment Company is in town.
The Raft Race in Hardin was great for the entire county. The weather was perfect. The vendors, the food, the entertainment and the fireworks all provided for a great community event where everyone could visit. Kids could play and in the Calhoun County all was right with the world. A huge shoutout of thanks for all the committee who worked so hard to put this together. Great job. I can’t wait till next year.
Congratulations to the Calhoun High School Trap Shooting Team on becoming National Champions.
Friday evening in Kampsville are all about searching for our Queen. She still hasn’t been found get those Queen of Hearts tickets.
Plans are in full gear for the Kampsville Summer Celebration August 19. We will kick off festivities with a parade beginning at 1 pm. Followed by Flag Raising, Pageants and Fun and Games on the stage. Kids game area, basket raffles, good food and so much more. Fireworks at Dusk.

We also will be having our BBQ Cook-off. Thank you Jamie and Melody Seimer for always heading this up.
Anistyn, Cara McClellan and Andy Prough enjoyed the Morgan Wallen concert Friday night at Busch Stadium. Dan, Kim and Lucas Chisholm enjoyed his concert on Thursday night.
Kathy, Olivia, Emily and Ava Clowers. Maggie and Josie Hoagland, Ava, Joy, Lucy, Grace and Pat Hurley, Kristy Watters, Elizabeth and Libby Botterbush, Cindy, Josie and Lexi Klocke, Sarah Thortan and Shannon Hausmann all enjoyed the Taylor Swift concert Saturday evening at Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City. The outfits that they all chose through the “Era’s” were so cute and the reviews are Taylor was amazing.
Happy 70th Anniversary to Ed and Willene Benz on July 18. They will celebrate their anniversary with a party in their honor thrown by their children at their kids house on July 15. Congratulations Ed and Willene and may you have many more.
