What a wonderful weekend. Another County Fair is in the books, and the weather couldn’t have been any better. Record crowds attended, and there was so much fun to be had.
Congratulations to our new Calhoun Royalty Miss Calhoun Ella Sievers, daughter of Shawn and Kristin Sievers of Batchtown. Jr. Miss Calhoun is one of our Kampsville girls Hinley Hayn, daughter of Stephen and Britney Hayn and Little Miss Calhoun Grace Brady, daughter of Luke and Jae Brady of Hardin. I’m sure you will all represent our county well and I can’t wait to see you at all the events we do here in Kampsville.
Congratulations to Terry Stauch on being recognized for 40 years on the Calhoun County Fair Board, and 37 as Fair Board President.
My favorite part of this year’s fair was the parade. Such a big parade, and so many floats. I was beyond honored to be asked by the fairboard to serve as grand marshal. It was an absolute dream come true, and I appreciate all of the congratulatory words and gestures everyone has given me.
Kampsville Royalty Baby Zara Miller, Toddler Bennett Brown, Little Miss and Little Mr. Kampsville Ashlyne Herter and Jay Peters represented as well in the parade as did our Kampsville American Legion Post 1083 and Sons of the American Legion.
The Kampsville American Legion has put up a beautiful new shed.
We haven’t found our Queen yet so get those tickets bought.
Mark those calendars SNS Duck Race Oct. 1 and Kampsville Old Settlers Days Oct. 14 and 15.
Happy birthday to Toddler Kampsville Bennett Brown and his twin brother Beckett Brown on Sept. 22. Happy 28th Anniversary Bill and Marcia Agney on September 2.
Please add Joeann Feyerabend to your prayers and continue prayers for Kathryn Chapman, Jerry Crader, Joyce Blumenberg, Linda Herkert, Cassie Blackwell, Joe Gress, Raymond Sievers, Kurt Roth, Bruce Williams, Justin Williams, Sue Aderton, Margie Smith and Bev Mosbarger.
