Some very big news for Kampsville this week. Glenda Sidwell will be moving her business Flowers by Glenda from Hardin and making her home in Kampsville. She will be located out 96 in her Dad’s place. Normally I would say “ welcome to Kampsville, “ but Glenda is already a Kampsville resident, so instead, I will just say “can’t wait for your shop to be open here.”
“It’s always a great week to be a Warrior,” Warriors volleyball won the Carlinville Tournament Saturday bringing their record to 22-0 and that’s impressive. These ladies are unbelievable to watch so get out and cheer them on. Also Friday nights Warriors defeated the Carrollton Hawks 61-0. During halftime Alexis Ralston daughter of Brent and Myra Ralston was crowned Queen and Cole Robeen son of Phil and Amy Robeen was crowned King.
The Kampsville Community Expo night was well attended with a lot of great organizations showing what services they have to offer.
Kampsville bus driver Paul Klunk rescued two of our favorite teachers Heidi Doyle and Tina Jones last week when they had a flat tire on their way to school. He gave them both a ride and they made it on time. If you know Tina and Heidi, I bet that was a bus filled with lots of laughter and fun.
Old Settlers Days are fast approaching Oct. 14 and 15. So much fun right here on our Kampsville Riverfront. Make plans to spend some time with us in Kampsville.
Trunk or Treat and Party Oct. 22 on the Marvin Richter Ball Field 4-6. Baked Sale Oct. 21.
Congratulations to Travis and Alexa Kamp and who were married Saturday.
Happy 43rd Anniversary Denny and Jane Brangenberg on Sept. 26.
Prayers for Official Don Schaff who collapsed Friday night while officiating the Calhoun/Carrollton Game. He was flown out and was found to have a blockage, a stint was put in and he is recovering.
I’ve had several people ask so I thought I would update you Bev Mosbarger had her surgery last week and it went very well and she will then begin the next step in her treatments.
