Community Club looking for new and gently used toys
As you know this is the week of Thanksgiving, and do we quite know what that entails. As we lay aside this fourth Thursday Holiday every year, what does this day mean to you. As this Thanksgiving Day rolls around, it brings us into view the facts so true. We may think we’re poor, heavy laden, or insecure but in truth our blessings are profound. We have family and friends we love, guidance from Heaven above and so much more, as our riches are so so many. We should be so very grateful for the day and the gift of Thanksgiving tomorrow and treat every single day as so.
The Pleasant Hill Community Club will be having their fifth Annual Christmas Toy Drive. They are expecting huge needs this year and are once again accepting gently used and unwrapped new toys along with monetary donations. There is a Henry gun raffle for the Gavin Kendall family, tickets are $20 each and may be purchased inside at Central State Bank or call there at (217)734-2356. The raffle will be held Dec. 10.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Vicky Surratt, whom has lived in town a few years. Her sister is Janeen Edwards. So very sorry for your loss.
Many thanks to all of you who read the little news that is news, all the compliments and comments. Always remember to get in touch if want to add your little tidbits. May you all count your many blessings and Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!
