Make plans for talent night and donkey basketball
Griggsville-Perry Elementary is hosting Book Fair Family Night tonight from 5:30 p.m.-7 p.m. in the elementary library. Buy a sucker for $1 and do the sucker pull to win a prize! See you tonight!
The North Pike District Library’s “Story Walk” is now available with two books! The Story Walk is set up at the Griggsville Park. Begin at the south entrance at South Oak Street. Have fun!
Please join GP’s Fine Arts Club March 8 in The Nic for the second annual GP’s Got Talent. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the performances will begin at 7 p.m.. They will be exhibiting art by local artists and performers on stage who are all local talents! Tickets are $2 for students and $5 for adults and are available from any Fine Arts Club member or Sponsor, Mrs. Cindy Conkright. Tickets will also be available for purchase at the door. Please plan to attend for a fun evening of entertainment and see a small sampling of the talent our school district has!
Donkey Basketball will be at GP March .! The starting time is 7 p.m. and is sponsored by the Class of 2025. Come one; come all to the craziest show on earth – Donkey Basketball!
Illini Fitness Center (128 W. Washington St.) in Pittsfield is having a No – Cost Community Cholesterol Screening March 12 from 7:30 – 9:30 am. Appointments are required. Visit events.blessinghealth.org, call 217-277-5000, or stop by the Blessing Resource Center to register. A great event to keep you healthy!
Griggsville-Perry Summer League 2024 registrations are now open! Go to the League’s Facebook page to go to the link to sign up your player by March 18.
The Perry Association for Community Enrichment (PACE) will host a fish fry fundraiser March 2 at the Perry United Methodist Church (106 E. South St.). Catfish, baked beans, coleslaw, chips and desserts will be served for a free will donation. Carry outs will start at 4:30 p.m.. Dine-in from 5-7. All money raised from this event will be put back into the Perry community. Sounds like a great cause!
Four Rivers Special Education District and Griggsville –Perry School District are sponsoring developmental screenings for all children between the ages of 2 years, 8 months, and 5 (not entering kindergarten in the fall)April 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.. This screening helps to determine eligibility for the pre-kindergarten program. Parents should call the school at (217) 833-2352 to schedule an appointment.
