What a gorgeous Saturday for the Calhoun High School Prom. So many stunning young ladies and handsome boys. Congratulations Prom King and Queen Will Hurley and McKenzie Baalman. Crown bearers were Brynlyn Eilerman and Winston Pluester. They looked adorable and did a great job.
It was definitely a great week for Will as he along with his cousin Ava Hurley were Silver Medallion recipients. Congratulations also to teacher Wanda (Retzer) Deffenbaugh on receiving the 2024 Silver Medallion for Teacher of the Year.
Calhoun Elementary and Junior High Can Drive April 10 – May 17. Save your aluminum cans to help support the PTO Field Trip Fund. Drop off cans anytime at the Calhoun elementary dumpster located behind the school by the playground.
This wait is over. The Pavilion will open Thursday, April 18, for the 2024 Season.
No Queen was found Friday night so stop in at the Legion and get those tickets bought.
To celebrate National Grilled Cheese Day the residents at Calhoun Nursing and Rehab made Grilled Cheese and learned fun facts. Did you know grilled cheese was originally called “Cheese Dream?”
Reagan Clendenny competed this past weekend at the Platinum Talent Competition in St. Charles with Parish School of Performing Arts. They did very well receiving many platinum awards and Judges Power Award for hip hop production.
My daughter in law Lindsey Halsey was the guest of honor at a Baby Shower Saturday afternoon in Pleasant Hill for the upcoming arrival of their first child. Kassidy (Klocke) Prough was the guest of honor this past weekend at a shower for her and husband Landry’s upcoming new arrival. Aunt Brianna Sibley gave her a gorgeous farm quilt in honor of Grandma Joyce Titus.
Sympathy to Ken Webster formerly of Kampsville on the loss of his daughter Thera Webster.
