Great homecoming weekend
Well, a big congratulations to the Pleasant Hill/Western Wolves Homecoming victory over North Greene. Also, would like to congratulate the new Homecoming Queen Ava Wombles and Homecoming King Brody Dolbeare and the court. The Wolves will head to Calhoun this Friday evening to rival for the Ol’ Oaken Bucket, the tradition lives on!
In conjunction with Fire Safety Week the elementary school will be hosting a Fire Safety/Big Truck night this Thursday from 5 p.m.-7 p.m., so head on down. There will be free snow cones and pork burgers thanks to the Shaved Ice Shack and PHFPD. Such a nice night out to give awareness to kids and adults alike. And please thank these wonderful volunteers for what they do!
Columbus Day will be observed this coming Monday so all of the federal offices, banks, and schools will be closed.
Two Rivers Marina is hosting a Trunk or Treat this coming Saturday from 4 p.m.-8 p.m. Sure they’ll have lots of goodies for young and old alike.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the family of Bill Miller, such a fun loving, down home friend to many who knew him!
As his, Christopher Columbus’s, discovery of America was so profound, just think of what it has been for you!
