So extremely much to pray for that I’ve no idea where to start. We will start with all our family members, and God to guide each and every one of them. Next pray for our country, schools, and churches…pray for guidance and God’s will for all. Pray for health issues in both family and friends. Pray for our military, each and every member. Praise God for all He has done for you and continues to do. Thank God for His forgiveness and for all the mercy He shows us continually. Pray more than once a day. And pray for and about EVERYTHING!
Do ye look on things after the outward appearance? If any man trust to himself that he is Christ’s, let him of himself think this again, that, as he is Christ’s, even so are we Christ’s.
2 Corinthians 10:7
Sympathy is extended to the family and friends of Russell Harris who recently passed away.

There were 19 people that attended the Single Seniors get together at the Wattsup Restaurant in Nebo on Friday, August 22nd, for lunch. I believe everyone had an enjoyable time with good food and plenty of visiting. All that being said, the Single Seniors group is still going strong and will be planning another “meet, greet, and eat” for September. There is no charge to be in this group, but a few simple rules are to be followed, and they are: members need to be 55+ and single, either by choice or by life; able to pay for your own meal and transportation; considerate enough to “share” conversations with others (in other words, besides talking yourself, let others talk too); and, last but not least, come with a positive attitude. And this is for both men and women. If you can meet these qualifications and are sincerely interested in being with us, please call or text 1-217-320-8438.
Saturday evening, August 23rd, found a good crowd at the Pike County Senior Center enjoying The Big River Band. Besides people from different places in Pike County, there were people from Brussels, Illinois, and Bowling Green, Louisiana, and Vandalia, Missouri. The band appreciated everyone coming out, and they hope you all will be back.
Trivia Questions for This Week:
1. What is the name of the pig in Charlotte’s Web?
2. What are the names of Peter Cottontail’s sisters in The Tale of Peter Rabbit?
God is forever….listening, watching….and most of all…waiting for you to ask Him to forgive you and to save you.
