The weather has been bitterly cold, and the travel about the County has been light.
The Calhoun County Alumni Auction will be held at the KC Hall in Hardin on Feb. 7, 2026. The admission price is $15 for adults, and $8 for kids 6 and older. Kids under 5 are free. Dinner is from 5 to 6 p.m. The silent Auction begins at 5 p.m. The Live Auction begins at 6:30 p.m. It will be followed by a Card Auction, and for more information call Andrea Pohlman at 1-618-946-6040.
Grafton Veterinarian Service under the direction of Dr. Jacob Maag is open every Tuesday from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Batchtown Legion Building. You may text him at 314-527-4883.
The Cornerstone Church has their Sunday Service at 10:45 a.m. Their Bible Class begins at 9 a.m. Wednesday morning. Everyone is welcome.
Eldon Johnes is in our thoughts this week. We wish him good health and a quick recovery.
The St. Vincent DePaul Society had their monthly meeting at their work site at 105 French St, Hardin, Ill. At 6:30 p.m. They thank everyone who has donated and extend an invitation to them to volunteer at the facility. Contact Robin Hillen if you are interested. The phone number is 1-618-576-2500.
The Koinonia Retreat Weekend #28 is March 6-8-26. The team is now meeting and planning the event. This year’s Retreat Leader is Sarah Sabol.
