We are still pretty frozen here in Kampsville and pretty much everywhere. But Spring is just around the corner. Our aging water plant has gave us a few problems during this deep, freeze and extreme weather but thankful to Dustin Neese, who has been on top of it. It’s been an inconvenience, thank you to everyone for your patience.
Our local schools have been very busy this week even with two remote learning days. St. Norbert’s celebrated Catholic Schools Week and Calhoun Elementary celebrated 100 Days of school.
Calhoun High School Senior English Class 131 presented Hamlet Friday.
Get those Queen of Hearts tickets, we are still on the hunt.
Breakfast at Perry’s will have Valentine’s breakfast at the Kampsville Legion February 14.
Happy Anniversary Mark and Debbie Becker on January 31st.
The Calhoun Warriors took the championship Saturday night at the Triopia tournament.
Congratulations to all tournament selections Jackie Zipprich, Lane Eilerman and Reagan Clendenny.
St. Anslem’s Game Day March 1st Doors open at 12 games begin at 1.m St. Anslem’s will also be raffling Quilts that were quilted by Judy Benz, Cecelia Hayn, Helen Vetter, Sherri Klunk and Maymie Petrowski. Tickets are available at the back of St. Francis of Assisi Church and the Bank of Kampsville, Kampsville location. The quilts are currently on display at the bank. They are absolutely gorgeous quilts.
The FFA also currently has their Strawberry sales going on orders are due by February 20 and will be delivered the first part of March. Anyone needing to place an order and don’t know an FFA member shoot me a message or give me a call and I will get you with a member and get your strawberries ordered.
FFA Alumni Auction February 7 at the KC Hall in Hardin. Dinner begins at 5 p.m. They have some amazing raffle items.
February 17 will be the “Purple out Event” honoring Caroline Goode at Calhoun Elementary School. Wear your purple and show your support.
Gift of Hope Trivia Night February 14at the KC Hall at 7 p.m. All proceeds going to the Mid-America transplant team. Anyone wanting to reserve a table please reach out to Molly Caselton 618-535-9302.
