John, Julie and Caleb Carnes of Edwardsville spent Saturday with Francis Toppmeyer and I. John worked outdoors all afternoon for me. Cleaned flower beds, planted flowers, week wacked, trimmed bushes and even grilled chicken and brats to go along with rest of meal Julie was preparing at her dad’s. Busy day all around, enjoyed joining them all for the delicious dinner that evening. Francis and I are always appreciative of what they all do for us.

Thank You, gracious Lord, for the gift of fathers. May the love between father and children never cease. Through Your Word and Spirit, enable them to lead their children to You. Fathers play an integral role in their children’s life, as mentors, providers, caregivers and so much more. Assure them of Your unending love and grave. In Jesus’ name, Amen
