By Carmen Ensinger A Greene County man remains behind bars facing numerous felony child pornography charges.

The following police reports were filed between September 12 and September 18, 2025. These reports are public information and are obtained from the Jersey County Circuit Clerk’s office. All individuals have been arrested and charged, or cited in the case of traffic violations. All are presumed innocent until proven guilty.

Felonies Jami L. Harris, dob 10-13-1982, was found guilty on a charge of possession of meth less than five grams, 24 months probation, $300 fine; two charges of possession of an amount of a controlled substance except (A)/(D) were dismissed.

By Carmen Ensinger A Greene County man has been sentenced to two years in prison after pleading guilty in two separate felony cases in Greene County Circuit Court on Sept. 15.

By BETH ZUMWALT A juvenile is in custody after a chain of incidents lead to their arrests.

On Saturday, Aug. 23, at approximately 6:15 PM, Sheriff William Heffington attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a vehicle near the intersection of Illinois River Road and Royal Landing Road in Calhoun County, Illinois. The vehicle fled from Sheriff Heffington at a high rate of speed towards the Mississippi River.
