Good Luck to Miss Calhoun Lucy Kallal this week as she competes at Springfield in the Miss Illinois County Fair Queen Pageant. Lucy is a sweetheart and I’m sure she will represent Calhoun well.
Congratulations Lady Warriors on your Championship win in the North Green Tournament. Congratulations to Jaelyn Hill and Audrey Gilman on being chosen to the All-Tournament Team.
Several residents from Calhoun Nursing and Rehab enjoyed eating out at Nick’s Pancake House this last week.
The Landing held their Sunday Pool Tournament winners were first place, Gary Shaw; second place, Jake Hanold; and third place, Terry Hausmann.
Heather Lorsbach was the guest of honor at a surprise 50th birthday party hosted by her husband, PJ, on Saturday evening at Straight Home. There was a great crowd and a delicious cake.
Pat Tepen was the guest of honor to a packed crowd Saturday night at Big John’s celebrating her 60th Birthday.
Hayden Taul turned 11 on Jan. 10. He enjoyed Saturday evening at an escape room and pizza at the Mellow Mushroom and a party with family at his house Saturday. Happy Birthday Hayden.
The Calhoun Elementary and Jr. High PTO is hosting an 80s themed adult Prom on Saturday, Jan. 28 at the KC Hall in Hardin with live band, Exit 52. There will be a nacho bar, silent auction and card raffle. Advanced tickets can be bought up until Jan. 27 for $25. Must be 21 years of age to attend.
The Calhoun Entertainment Company is busy with rehearsals for their upcoming Spring Musical, 9 to 5. It will be held at the Center for American Archeology Gym.
